Dipshit Stoners

::Disclaimer:: Yes, I am aware that there are many upstanding stoners that have a brain in their heads. ::/disclaimer::

This probably would do in the general area, but since we've had a recent stoner attack I figured I'd drop this here to keep perspective.

In your opinion, what causes stoner stupidity?

Is it inborn, and weed just attracts the naturally stupid people to partake? Maybe it just kills certain braincells to cause things like trolling and loss of common sense.

The thing I've always wondered about is how they seem to love yelling to the world that they are potheads. I happen to be a bit of a soak and can't really remember ever yelling that to the world... well.. never mind, just did.
:igor:

sidd 29th December 2003 07:23

lol.. yeah. I used to one of them. Now i cant stand stoners.

I hate getting invited round to a 'friends' house, only to find myself bored out of my mind, because i refuse to get stoned, and have to sit there on the couch for 5-6 hours doing nothing.

There is something not right about mary-jane. Something somewhat evil.

Raz 29th December 2003 07:44

Not in moderation, if you just do it every other week then there's no problem in my opinion.

morning raz,

that goes for everything in life, moderation

except for sex :D

Raz 29th December 2003 08:00

g'mornin'

I'd reply to the pm, but he's gone. :D

sidd 29th December 2003 08:01

I have an addictive personality. I cant do anything in moderation, so best not to do it at all.

Raz 29th December 2003 08:02

Then don't, but that can't apply to everyone can it.

I know, I asked a mod to take care of him.

All of you bozos need a reality check. I just happen to be a recovering alcoholic/drug addict, & I KNOW what makes stoners the unusual creatures they are: IT'S A HABIT! Addiction is a huge problem in this country(USA) & I am sure that my fellow Winamp subscribers are no different. In fact, judging by some of what I read in these Forums, I'm sure of it. All together now: Admitting you have a problem is the 1st step! But of course, pay no attention to the raving lunatic.quasar664@earthlink.net

NJK 29th December 2003 08:10

no problem admitting i have some addictions
-coffee
-winamp forums
-dragonson forum ( see my sign)
-music ( can't live without it)
-the mrs

but none of them cause problems for me in my real life and are not damaging to my health.

Sandman2012 29th December 2003 08:16

quasar664, I don't think calling people bozos is what Bill Wilson meant when he proposed the 12th step.

mucho aplologies
As I was saying, mucho apologies for my earlier outburst. I simply wasn't "keeping it simple". Again, many apologies.:o :)

LollipopLustKil 29th December 2003 15:15

I'm a stoner actually. Addicted? No. I do it at the most every other week, and I'm not stupid at all.

I used to be a "pot-head", waaaayyyy before I had the rugrat. We were a quiet bunch, but yeah there were some of the stereotypical stoners running around. Those are the ones that ruin the occasional smokers (I don't smoke pot anymore) good time.

marvinbarcelona 29th December 2003 18:17

Used to smoke alot of weed....thought I was addicted....turned out I was addicted to the tobacco I was mixing it with....stopped using tobacco.....now only have a bit of weed every couple of months of so.

Spazz333 29th December 2003 19:57

Wasn't refering to you Lollipop. Just the fact that I had no clue you were till a couple seconds ago shows the exceptions.

godoncrack 29th December 2003 22:40

Drugs are a tool to be used like any other.

sidd 30th December 2003 00:57

like using a hammer to beat yourself unconsiouse?

godoncrack 30th December 2003 01:06

If that is your wish, then so be it.
If you wish to do more, then go for it.

sidd 30th December 2003 01:18

*bonk*
ahhhhhhhh

..

seriously though, i have no problem with most drugs. I still get off tap on weekends sometimes, its great when your friends force you to endure the club scene.

Just weed. I cant even empathise with the people that say that they do it once or twice a week. Firstly, i have seen many people go completely doscile because of it. I cant stand to see people completely changed because of a drug.

Secondly, my dad has smoked weed, once or twice a week, all his life. And he is... well.. confused. Maybe weed is not the only thing contrbuting to his state, but it is something to do with it.

The only worse drugs are NOS and Heroin :)

papadoc 30th December 2003 03:50

What is NOS?

Huehuetenango 30th December 2003 04:03

i hang around w/ stoners, ppl think i'm a stoner even though i gave it up almost a year ago
admittedly, it is boring sometimes, just sitting around, but at other times, even when not stoned, it can be relaxing
they aren't always clamoring to do something, to go get in a fight or something
sure, these guys aren't always the most reliable people in the world, i dont' dare ask them to remind me of anything, but they are still fun to hang around with
they do waht they do in moderation for hte most part, and it's all good

hell, stoners are some of the friendliest people i know, i thought this even before i became friends w/ some
then again, i've always thought that was because they can't remember who their friends ARE
ah well

yay, more ramblings from me
i'm bored tonight

sidd 30th December 2003 04:14

Quote:

What is NOS?
nitrus-oxide

it comes in little canisters and is used for making whipped cream. You pop 5-6 nos canister's into a big airtight thing (not dissimilar to a soda making thing) and then you breath it in.

You can actually feel it killing braincells. :)

DJHotIce 30th December 2003 06:16

the stuff that makes you high at the dentist :)

papadoc 30th December 2003 15:16

Nitrus Oxide, oh...ok, I know about that.
I just never heard it called NOS.
Thanks :)

I think it's called NOS in the racing circles. But don't try to inhale that stuff, because the racing stuff is normally mixed with sulfer-something, which is nasty.

The chemical formula is "N2O"

papadoc 30th December 2003 16:41

You don't have to worry about me using it.
I'm a recovering heroin and meth addict, 8 years clean.
If I were gonna start using again, it sure wouldn't be NOS :D

WhiteRayven 31st December 2003 16:31

I used to be a pothead. I only did it because my friends did it, and i smoked tobacco, now I have quit both. And I am glad I did it. I was depressed, and weed made me forget about it, and every thing else. But now I am in univeristy, and I havent smoked in months

papadoc 1st January 2004 18:30

I'll never criticize or condemn anyone for smoking pot,
because that's how I got started along my path to addiction.
But after I examined my life - pre drugs, drugs, and post drugs,
I discovered it wasn't pot or any of the other drugs I used that got me addicted, it was me.
I had and always will have a compulsive addictive personality.
So it didn't matter what drug I started with, the path would have been the same,
and the end result would have been the same.
I still have to watch myself in things that aren't even related to drugs.
Not because they are addictive, but because I can make them that way.

cirvin 1st January 2004 20:34

I'm addicted to soda. I have to have at least 1 can a day.

palomarjack 2nd January 2004 06:17

THC stays in your system for up to thirty days, affecting everything you say and do. Including driving. This indicates there's nothing "occasional" about it. Personally, I can't see what is so good about intentionally introducing toxins into ones own body. Sounds rather counterproductive, to me.

As for those who have successfully left that life, you are an inspiration for the rest, keep up the fight.

Hasta...

Because it doesn't severly impact behaviour, dimwit. Not that I'm saying it's OK. I'm just saying that saying "oh, well we can find trace amounts of THC in your system 30 days after you've smoked some weed, therefore you're still affected by the drug for 30 days." is stupid.

Rehpot 5th January 2004 07:05

The absolute worst thing weed does to you, in my opinion, is make you completely apathetic. If your in the U.S. You've no doubt seen the stupid anti-pot commerctials. One i saw hit the nail on the head. A kid is walking through his house talking about how his brother smoked pot all the time, and never killed anyone or did anythign illegal..."he never did anything". That is how being 'addicted' to pot can negatively impact you..and it is a big impact. I can't say if its evil or good or whatever, i can say that it does make some people EXTREMELY apathetic.

-blah

This I can agree with. Too much pot == lazy stoner. :weird:

Spazz333 5th January 2004 19:41

Video games have the same effect. I'm not a stoner but I'm still lazy as shit.

I play massive amount of video games, but I'm only somewhat lazy...

Spazz333 6th January 2004 00:05

See. I have some friends who smoke weed and aren't lazy at all. I think a lot of the time it only enhances natural laziness.
