No sound
 

I do not get any sound playing when I play music through Winamp 5. Windows media player works fine. Dont know whats going on. It shows that it is playing, but no sound at all. Please help.

System Specs? (motherboard, cpu, sound card/chip, windows os, directx)

Try this first:

Prefs (Ctrl+P) -> Plugins -> Output -> DirectSound -> config:
Device tab:
Change drop-down menu from "Primary Sound Driver" to match sound card/chip driver
Checkmark "allow hardware acceleration"

Ok everything

Restart playback, or restart Winamp.

Naturally, also make sure the volume slider is up high enough in the main winamp window.
