Switching from Musicmatch to WinampPro
Sorry if I'm in wrong forum.
In Musicmatch, regardless of what I do, I can't play my mp3s in a consecutive order. Its either repeat or random which is drving me crazy. With WinampPro, will I be able to play songs consecutively within one album? Also, will there be a way to import all my mp3s in Musicmatch to WinampPro? Please forgive my ignorance. Best wishes, Tiple:confused: |
Repeat and random in winamp are 2 separate, clearly labelled buttons, just make sure they are both switched off and it will play as you wish :)
You should be able to import your mp3s into the winamp library with no problems, provided they are tagged right. If you install the free version of winamp, you can try it out without messing up what you have currently. Enjoy :) |

Well, you don't even need the Pro version just to play MP3's. The full version is free. The Pro version just adds full speed ripping & burning capabilities, with the added bonus of ripping to mp3. Yes, you will be able to play your mp3's / albums in order. Winamp also has a shuffle feature, but if the 'shuffle' button is 'off', then the tracks will play in order. To store all your mp3's in the Winamp library, simply click the 'Library' button in the library, Select "Add media to library" Point Winamp to your music folder and click OK. You can then go to: Library -> Local Media -> Audio, Select the Artist in the top left pane, select the Album in the top right pane and then click the Play button. btw, be careful if/when you uninstall musicmatch as it has a tendency to delete the AudioCD registry key, thus making the CD Autoplay feature non-functional. However, we even have a fix for that too, though the registry fix is different for different Windows operating systems.
