Latin House
I just discovered this genre two weeks ago, while i accidentially heard a DJ on the radio partying away....
So far i've found The Latin Project and Lazy Dog. Anyone of you music gods who knows "bands/DJ's" that plays House music with Latin influences? A tune i can really recommend to anyone interrested in new music is "Lazy dog (negrocan) - Cada vez (Grant Nelson Vocal Mix)" it's sooooooo cool :up: |
I have very little latin music. I guess I like white-man's tunes.:D
Never heard of latin house, but I am into house - mainly US/British/European. Have you heard of micro-house? |
can't say i have.... the other house i listen too is mainly Bob Sinclair and stuff like that, DJ Static is cool too....
|
What the hell is "house"???
|
lol :D
/edit: just checking was that sarcasm or do you really not know? |
I really don't know....
Call me an Idiot like everyone else does. |
i don't think you're an idiot, it's just that House music is a pretty big and common genre, so it surprises me that you don't know....
|
Well what is it?
|
Couldn't really find a way to explain it myself, so here's how enc. Britanica looks at things;
House Music Style of high-tempo, electronic dance music that originated in Chicago in the early 1980s and spread internationally. Born in Chicago clubs that catered to gay, predominantly black and Latino patrons, house fused the symphonic sweep and soul diva vocals of 1970s disco with the cold futurism of synthesizer-driven Eurodisco. Invented by deejay-producers such as Frankie Knuckles and Marshall Jefferson, house reached Europe by 1986, with tracks on Chicago labels Trax and DJ International |
Doesn't sound like I'd go for that genre then, me is more into rock and metal, as you know.
