I've got this error when I try to listen/open something

I got this error and I dont know what it is please help me!

Bad directsound driver. Please install proper drivers or select another divice in configuration.
Error code:88780078

OS? Versions? DirectX version? other system specs?

Preferences > Plug-ins > Output > Select waveOut
