equalizer WA5
has anyone experienced lack of control from auto equalize settings? I find thta it doesn't reset to the normal deefault value after playing a song with sepcific settings. The specific settings stay for all songs unless there is another setting that should be attached for a song in the list. That one then remains in effect.
Thanks |
well since you didn't specify a eq for the track after the one with auto eq it will use the one that is activaded! and because your default could be a custom eq or a predefined one winamp can't go back to a "default" eq because it doesn't know wich one is the "default". is it the rock one? the dance one? so you want it to go back to the "default" one called default if no auto eq is present right? but that will cause confusion because if you're using other eq like rock, after the track finishes it will return to default if no auto eq is present! so to make it work right it should only return to the default eq if a track with auto eq was played before and the track that will be played has no auto eq info!! if that situation doesn't happen it shoud mantain the current eq setting!
very confusing but it's logical! i think! :D :winamp: :p |
Confusing yes. But it's not working like my previous 2.78 version. That version used a default setting for all songs unless it found an auto load preset for a particular song. After that song it would return to default. I was able to use the +/- db setting to fine tune volume for songs that were compiled at varying levels. I seem to have lost that feature with this WA5.

No, it just works differently.
Per my (admittedly limited) understanding, you save an EQ preset as "default", and then when you're playing the song you want, you can change the equalizer and go to Presets>Save>Auto-load Preset... and it will let you add the song to a list of custom preset songs. |
Maybe you need to set or reset the default...
1. Set the EQ sliders to your preferred default value. 2. Presets button 3. Save > Default Now that the default is set, it should change back for non-auto presets. (It does for me) |
Reset the default was exactly what was needed. I don't remember having to do that in previous version but it's a long time. :-)
