Fugly

Very Fugly...

fwgx 29th January 2004 14:48

That's what I thought zootm. I bet it still doesn't like CSS too much either.

They just dont know how to create a decent looking skin for anything.

Joel 29th January 2004 15:25

wow! Longhorn is comming into our lives.....

Vie 29th January 2004 15:26

Not into mine pal, if I see that thing coming at me, I'm going to shoot it.

arturogoga 29th January 2004 15:34

Amazing. A pop up blocker... meh. I switched to Opera a long time ago, and I don't think I'll ever go back to the spyware prone, bug infested, awful looking IE anytime soon. Except, of course, if the stupid Windows Update requires it.

randman 29th January 2004 17:34

I'm sure you all realize this "beta" and any other releases on that site are not in anyway officially connected to, or affiliated with Microsoft?

Beware!

mark e 29th January 2004 18:58

well... I hope it handles CSS better.

horse-fly 29th January 2004 19:41

i vomit in disgust, and masterbate in fear

sgtfuzzbubble011 29th January 2004 22:36

I'm running IE 6 (6.0.2800) right now also, and I'll get new versions when they're officially released only if the toolbars are fully customizable and if it still supports the Windows Classic theme. The picture (whether or not it's a real IE beta) is still ugly. Hell, I don't even like the default style of IE 6 that came preloaded on this computer with Windows XP... that one's fugly, too.

Smeggle 29th January 2004 22:37

http://www.microbetadownloads.net/ie605/IE605.JPG < looked at the hosting site of the jpeg...looked then at the address in the address bar of the jpeg..just made me wonder if your anything to do with this crowd?
looks interesting though I have seen a few sites on Longhorn--have alink on a CD to one that opens with the 'Supposedly' new 'LongHorn' Desktop layout..fact think I picked it up in a link in The Bitchlist, one on windows longhorn ...

~ :)

beanboy89 29th January 2004 23:02

I have seen a whole bunch of screenshots of Windows Longhorn Build 4051 at the Supersite for Windows and Internet Explorer 6.05 looks very similar to the Longhorn interface.

It is ugly. Maybe they are thinking it's so ugly Microsoft won't sue them for using the Internet Explorer name.

bored154 30th January 2004 01:05

Dear sweet lord, that's one big eye sore. I think I'm gonna have to definitely stay with Mozilla.

ryan 30th January 2004 04:00

[10:59pm] <@Timmy> that isn't real
[10:59pm] <@Timmy> It was a clone someone made, I believe
[10:59pm] <@Timmy> just built off the IE engine and shit
[11:00pm] <@Timmy> and the one in Longhorn PDC-4051 was much gayer

Good lord!!

What in the hell did they do? I've seen amateur designers come up with better interfaces. When will Microsoft get up off of their high horse and listen to the people for once?

LMAO, exactly.

Heck, I'll go to fricken linux before I go to longhorn. (yes, I actually like windows. I even like the BSOD's if it isn't too inconveniant at the time.)

Raas 30th January 2004 07:21

Heh. I've said it twice already. THIS IS NOT A PRODUCT MADE BY MICROSOFT!
Snoop around the microbetadownloads.net site yourself. It doesn't take a genius to figure out this IS NOT a Microsoft product.

God damn! *Takes a chill pill*

Blue screens of death are better than IE, and now having your computer swiched off is better...
