Insert Black CD???
 

I am trying to burn a cd in winamp. I've been able to burn using other software (nero, windows, musicmatch, etc.). However, when I first tried to burn using Winamp, it started the burning process then halfway through just hung up and would go no further. So I had to cancel that one and trash that CD. Now whenever I try to burn, it says to "Please insert a blank cd" (or something very similar anyway). Anyone else have this problem and have some ideas?

only winamp gives you "Please insert blank cd" ? or does nero, etc. also ask for that?

If every program asks you to do that, then I'd recommend reinstalling the drivers. Some cd burners don't have drivers, but you need to install the burning software that came with it. You can also try installing ASPI (forceAPSI) drivers again.

Please supply all relevant system specs:

PC or motherboard make/model
cpu, ram
CD-RW drive make/model#
soundcard
Windows OS
DirectX version
Winamp version

Also tell us whether this was a clean install of Winamp, whether you've installed any 3rd-party plugins, and what filetypes you are trying to burn.
