"Live Dispatch" streaming audio problem
I am trying to use WinAmp to play live fire dispatch audio from a website. The URL is;
mms://68.186.235.33:8080/ Windows media player is able to play the audio, but WinAmp is not. Any ideas on why or what I need to do to configure WinAmp to work? Thanks, Bob |
mms:// support is currently broken.
This is well documented. More info here borked extensionless mms:// streams http://forums.winamp.com/showthread.php?threadid=163967 http://forums.winamp.com/showthread.php?threadid=163068 http://forums.winamp.com/showthread.php?threadid=135924 http://forums.winamp.com/showthread.php?threadid=134324 http://forums.winamp.com/showthread.php?threadid=132815 http://forums.winamp.com/search.php?...Perform+Search http://forums.winamp.com/search.php?...Perform+Search However, you're in luck... because this particular stream also supports http protocol http://68.186.235.33:8080/.wma This works perfectly fine in Winamp 5.01 |

I am new to this and don't understand how it work. How did you know waht to look for? Thanks, Bob:up: |
If you like to listen to online scanners,
you can go to Shoutcast and type scanner in the "search for" box, then click "go". The scanner streams are hidden from the preset genres list. Right now there's 6 pages. (just in case you didn't know :D ) |
Great source!
Thats a great site!
Thank you! Bob:) |
