visulizations wont play in 1162 x 886

hi ive got a GF4 ti 4400 gf a7v333 mb 2x80g maxtor hdd stripe 0 audigy sound card 1024 corsair xms 2100 athlon
also got dx9.02
the trouble is i cant get the visuals running at any thing other than 320x240 @32bpp please help

sorry forgot graphics drivers are 52.16
