Can't play winamp songs on the stereo!
 

Earlier i've had winamp 3.. when i changed to winamp 5 the stereo won't play winamp songs from the computer.. even though it works with windows media player.. i want to listen to my songs from the computer on my stereo! i'm sure it's wired correctly.. can someone help me?!

winamp3 and winamp 5 have the same output method, so their should be no difference.

are the songs playing at all? (timer changing)
do you have the directsound or wavout plug-ins enabled?
is the winamp volume UP?

the songs are playing on my computer, but not on my stereo.. i think they are enabled, but i'm not exactly an expert on these areas.. thank's for trying to help me;)

What do you have for a sound card?

Maybe the following will work…
In Winamp
1. Ctrl+P (for preferences)
2. Plug-ins > Output
3. double click "DirectSound"
4. Device tab
5. In the device drop down menu select either "Primary Sound Driver (or Device)" or what closely reflects your the name of your sound card.
6. try checking (or un-checking) "Enable hardware acceleration"
7. close out of prefs.
