More BANDWIDTH
Hello all, i currently have a 136Kbps Upstreap conection. I am running my server with 48Kbps audio in mono, to see the awesome results go here: http://trackradio.shacknet.nu and listen for yourself. Problem being that i can only have about 10 listeners before i start to approach my limit and get buffer underruns. I am looking for a cost effective way to get a remote server with a little (or alot) more upstream bandwidth, depending on the price. I would apreciate some quotes, links, advice, etc. on this for all ranges of bandwidth. I dont have a target number of listeners, it is just a hobby station so ill go with what i can afford and is most cost-effective. Thanks in advance to those who contribute some usefull information or advice!

Anybody wanna sell me some bandwidht freelance for a little cheaper? mabe some cheaper options? im not made of money, i want 48kbps and 20 listeners any offers or cheaper options?
|
You may find someone to host for cheaper (though probably not), but you won't get good service. You get what you pay for.

I know, its ok, im cheap. Any offers?

Well, first of all, you are going to end up being cheap, AND Ripped off. Then youll come complaining about the server, and they wont give you a refund.
Second of all, How do you support "about 10 listeners" BEFORE you begin reach your limit ? Broadcasting at 48 kbps you should get a maximum of 3 listeners. Was it a typo? here's one: http://www.newerastreaming.com/pricing.php Here's another: http://fast-serv.com/web/?action=shoutcast_hosting Chris |
Fast-serv.com all the way.
