Sound Doesnt Work

Just got V.5 and it looks awesome but...
When ever I play a file of any type I cannot hear it. The beat visualizer is going and the track progres bar is moving but there is no sound.
Yes the volume is up, yes the mute is off, yes all files are associated. The files work when I use WMP so has anyone got any idea what the deal is?
