WinAmp invokes every song twice

Upon trying to add my mp3 directory into WinAmp's playlist, it loads every song twice. Dragging and dropping the folder using explorer onto WinAmp will cause it to invoke each song three times (as apposed to selecting "Add Dir" from WinAmp). It only seems to do it with my main, big directory (2000+ songs). Other smaller ones, it does not do this. I am using WinAmp Classic. I tried uninstalling 5.02 and going back to 5.01, and it still does it.

Upon troubleshooting I noticed the following. Looking at the file info on each of the songs, and its duplicate, one has the normal file path (E:\My Music\Artist - Song.mp3), and the duplicate, shows the following (E:\MYMUSI~1\Artist - Song.mp3). I find that odd. I tried creating a new folder and copying the contents over, in case it was something with the folder attributes, but had no luck. I also tried copying the folder to a different partition. Still no cigar.

So, any ideas?

That can be caused by a couple different things

1. Playlists saved in the same folder/directory as your music files.
I keep my playlists in their own folder

2. Or, you may have more than one MP3 input plug-in.
Any 3rd party MP3 plug-ins?

No 3rd party plug-ins. And all my playlists are in a different directory.

I fixed it however. Not quite sure how. But I did.

Thanks. :)

Whatever you did to fix it...
Congratulations  :D
