Tune In on shoutcast
:( when I click on the TuneIn button in Shoutcast my Winamp 3 used to start playing the music from which ever site the link was to...
Now my Winamp 5 does nothing starts up the program but won't play anything :( :( Any clues why not ? Help please |
Mine is doing the same thing. (Winamp 5.02) The media library loads a list of stations but will not play them. A box appears on the screen where it is connecting and then dissapears without starting the stream. I tried typing the URL into IE but it dose the same thing. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling both ver 5.01 and 5.02 but it still won't tune!
Any ideas? Chris |
Funny, I just came here to post the same thing.
Both internet TV and internet radio are not working for me. I'll double-click on a TV station and as soon as it loads into the playlist, Winamp crashes. Double-clicking on a radio station brings up a box with the link in it and a message that says "Reading HTTP Response," which then quickly dissapears and nothing happens. Once in a while I'll get one to play but as soon as the music starts, Winamp crashes. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling a few times. I don't have a firewall and am not behind a router. I'm also using Windows XP. |
Yep same thing, except my TV works fine
but Radio has been spotty for a couple of days. I have seen some explanations for this in other posts but i have not heard a definitive answer from Nullsoft, Is it Shoutcast that ALL of these stations connect through? or is it each provider having trouble, every one of my radio station does NOT work so i assume that this is a bandwidth issue or a connection issue from a main provider. Or am i just sniffing up the wrong tree. I think that Nullsoft should post news in the news section of their site when shit like this happens, then we could all just look at the news and know when and when not to write annoying and repetitive posts... |
Was about to start a thread about the same thing :igor:
When using Mozzila it brings up my download management window then starts Winamp, but then the playlist is empty and nothing starts. I tried using Internet Explorer and it does the same thing except IE doesn't have a download management window. Completely baffled by this as it was working about a week ago and I don't recall making any changes to my extension handling. And I did check Windows and Winamp on how they handle these extensions (*.pls) and everything is fine; they are listed to use Winamp. |
Take a look at this thread

Erasing my pointless post here now, lol. Thanks for the link to that thread.

For some people it seems the stream just fails to open, and in my case Winamp crashes completely. |
I discovered if you go to the "recently played" list in the media library, last -succesfully- played streams should work clicking on them ;)
Anyway, strange behaviour from Winamp :p |
