It's amazing what a few days without a computer can do.

As some of you may have noticed, I haven't been around for few days. For some reason, windows just didn't want to recognize my modem. It took me a couple days to fix this problem because i had to keep going to my friend's house to download drivers. Well anyway, I'm back. Although during that time, I got a 99 on my math test. I had been getting C's in that class. What does this say?

It says that I actually did the review sheet.

Yeah, it usually gives me withdrawals. I end up getting headaches and back pains.

But it's good to know you got your connection working again. :)

Oh how horrible. I get skitzo and can't sleep for 7 days if I can't use the computer.

Thats probably why I have three computers, and multiple friends that I know have Cable Internet. ;)

Not using a computer?

You mean.....people can survive that?!?

Just the thought gives me chest pains.

Now considering that I have a notebook computer, I'm connected almost anywhere I travel too. Woah, I think thats a little overboard but alright.:)

Mine is too, and I never leave the house without it.

I look a little funny walking out to get the paper every morning in my bathrobe with a PC tucked under my arm. But it gives me the warm fuzzies just knowing I have it with me. ;)

I'm a survivor...

I have
4 PC's
1 Laptop
2 Palmtops

So I never have a day without a computer anymore, thank god.

sgtfuzzbubble011 28th February 2004 18:39

I've got 4 working computers (three towers and one desktop), but only this one is hooked up at the moment. My dad also has two working computers, and both of them are hooked up and running. One of them is our house's server, too. :)

I've been grounded from the computer, and I haven't been here for a couple weeks either. During that time I failed a math test :( But my math teacher is a dick and he makes me nervous, so whenever I ask him a question he makes me feel like a retard because he's a big nerdy guy who knows everything. He's one of those "I can be your best friend or your worst enemy" types. And he looks almost exactly like Gunther the Bartender from "Friends" :igor:

Anyway I'm happy you did good K rock ;)

I never owned a computer until I was the age of 13. That does count on how well I have integrated into the digital world in just 5 years. :D

I started working on building my first computer when I was 11. It was 1978, and PCs hadn't been invented yet. Me and some older friends built a rack-system based on an old DEC-VAX one of them had. We cannibalized it and used what we could on the new machine.

Then I got a VIC-20 in about 1981-1982. Now THAT was computing power!

Built my first actual PC in 1989. Intel 80286 16MHz, 1MB RAM, 40MB HD, 14" NEC monitor (best part of the whole system), dot matrix printer. The whole thing cost about $2300.

By contrast, my latest purchase was a Sony VAIO GRT-390Z notebook, P4m 2.8GHz (with HT), 512MB RAM, 40GB HD, CD-RW/DVD+RW, 16.1" UXGA, nVidia GeForce 5600 (with 64MB DDR RAM) and integrated wireless networking. The whole thing cost $2195.

I'll have 2 PCs once that one is delivered. I can use my old one as a "backup machine", so if something happens to the newer PC, I still won't miss a second of computing. ;)

I'm working on getting my data set up so that I can run a server that works seamlessly. Until then, all of my files are still strewn around on my notebook. Currently holding 12gb worth of stuff and information I've created, and about 3 gig was added this month alone. So make that 15gb. But I'm clearing out doubles in My Documents. Including downloaded drivers, utilities, etc.
