wireless phone jack thingee
 

I'm looking for something I think I've seen somewhere before but I have no idea what it's called or what to search for.

What it is is a device where, instead of using a cable from your phone jack to your computer or whetever, you plug a thing into the phone jack at one end and another thing into the jack on your computer, and it sends the signal wirelessly. Somthing like this would mean I could use the internet more easily from my laptop anywhere in the house.

i once saw a telephone cord from monster cable. 12 dollars. how much difference could it possibly make?

I'd recommend just waiting until you get a broadband internet connection and puchase a wireless hub and a wireless card for your notebook computer.

Yeah I won't actually be getting one, I was sort of thinking there might be something a little bit simpler, and I'm pretty sure I couldn't actually get one anywhere around here anyway. I just wanted to check 'cause I remembered seeing something.

IF you are using a cellphone, thne you can usually just communicate over the IrDa or the Bluetooth connection, if your phone has one.
