winamp resets my color themes
 

forgive me for perhaps being dense, but every time I open Winamp 5 it can't remember the previous color theme it was set on! Ex. the Modern Skin will always revert to its blue-grey default skin.

For those of you who are familiar with Invicta, the skin resets itself every time I load Winamp5 as well, with every dialog box popping up and the help menus that are set to run only on the first time you load and install the skin.

forgive me for being a little cryptic up above, basically my skin settings are reset every time i open winamp5 again. any suggestions? thanks!

1. While WA5 is not running, go to the Winamp folder usually C:\Program Files\Winamp depending on where WA5 installed.
2. Right click on Winamp.ini
3. select Properties
4. General tab
5. make sure Read-only is unchecked
6. OK button
7. do the same for Studio.xnf

Also, be sure to close Winamp before shutting down Windows or the computer. That will allow Winamp to properly save its settings.

Do you have any 3rd party plug-ins? The problem could be related to a dodgy plug-in
