Fast Drawers

I'm toying with the idea of a WA5 skin (again) I've not got very far - but is it it possible to make the drawers open much faster - all the ones I've seen open slightly sluggighly. I would want mine to pop out like ....deadly fast moving drawers/

Ta.

change YourDrawer.setTargetSpeed(any value)

That easy huh?

which brings me on to my next question:

What am I doing wrong compiling the script?
I've got mc.exe, std.mi and the drawer script from the maki_skin but it come to a halt over the #include "../../../lib/std.mi"
Exited with code 6

Does it matter where I put mc.exe in relation to everything else? At the moment drawer.m, std.mi and mc.exe in the root of the winamp 5 directory.

And is there an eejit's no brainer guide to maki? I'm no programmer, me

I have the same problem as macarron when it comes to compiling stuff. Any help would be great, thanks.

Can either of you please tell me where your mc.exe, std.mi AND your script is and how you compile it. Out of my head I cant say at the moment what you could be doing wrong. It could either be HOW you call your mc.exe or your script/std.mi.

Also COPY/PASTE the include line from your .m file for me.

pukkaboy 8th March 2004 16:43

all three of mine are in my skins folder, i'm using msdos to call them up and do everything. i get the same error message as posted above. Even though i set the thing to

#include <std.mi>

instead of something like

#include <../../lib/std.mi>

I'm annoyed because frisbeemonkey's playpause thing doesn't work in wa5 properly so i'm trying to fix it.

OzObdrOl 8th March 2004 16:54

well, lets say your skin directory is "skin"... all the files are in that folder now... mmmmm

try --- include "std.mi" ---- instead of include <std.mi>

pukkaboy 8th March 2004 17:46

It works!

i love you!

OzObdrOl 8th March 2004 17:48

step back! This is not NAMBLA (North American Man Boy Love Association)

But, your welcome ;)

UUL 8th March 2004 17:52

when you use #include <../../lib/std.mi>, you have to place the std.mi file in the folder ../winamp/lib/std.mi

Thank you UUL and OzObdrOl! Compiling a go go! MWHA HA HA HA!

For the record (Forum Master if you listening) could you add a sticky summarising the idiot proof steps to compiling a maki script. It is SOOOO obvious now that I've done it, but I tell you, when you are on the other side of the fence, as it were, it is a very different picture.
But now that it works I'm happy. :)
And, UUL, I have super fast working draws too!
