won't play songs with foriegn language characters

hello,

like the subject says, winamp won't play any songs with a foriegn language character in the filename, or songs that are in a folder with a foriegn character. itunes and win media player handle these sings fine, but i really preffer winamp. is there any solution to this, or work around, without of course changing the filenames to english. the files are in latvian btw.

thanks for any help.

Which caracters do these files contain? For me, files with e.g. 'é' or 'Ç' in the name play fine.

Hmm... don't know. I renamed a file containing all the letters you posted, and for me, they are playing fine but are shown wrong in playlist editor. Are you using WA 5.03?

the songs will play fine but they won't get added to the media library. I have t.a.t.u's cd and tracks 9 and 10 will play but I can't add them to the library. I for some reason also can't get any of my AC/DC albums to go into the library.
