Hey, I got this from another messege board, But I still think it's crazy that he went immediately to the small messege board that this was posted:

Hey everyone,
As some of you may know, I've been deployed out to Iraq until september. I'm stationed at some base right outside the town of Fallujah, which is about 20 miles west of baghdad. The place is really violent. We just got an incoming mortar round about 15 minutes ago, and our counter-battery radar picked up the originating location of the round and returned fire with a volley of (6) 105mm rounds.
I'm working with the 3rd Civil Affairs Group, which consists of 15 seperate teams roaming all over the western region of Iraq. I'm a part of the Command Element, which essencially recieves situation reports and makes decisions and tells people what to do. I'm the IT guy and Webmaster. I'd give you guys a link, but the website is on our secret intranet website.
The day that I got here, I went to get a haircut from the on-base barber shop run by about 5 iraqis. I arrived about 30 minutes after they closed, so they wouldn't give me a haircut. The next day I went to get my haircut on time, but the shop was closed and there was a sign on the door that said "Closed indefinatly until further notice". Huh? whats that all about?
Later on that day we heard that on thier way home, the barbers encountered some guy with an AK-47 who shot the driver and then shot everyone inside the vehicle, so all our barbers are now dead, and I can't get a hair cut. Dang, I heard they were pretty cool people too! Its not like they were "conspiring with the americans" or anything either! *sigh* thats the kinda people we are dealing with out here.

Oh yah, I'm armed with an M16a2 with an M203 grenade launcher and I have a Ka-bar knife, and an M9 pistol (berretta). It's pretty close to the assault dude in desert combat, but...for real. haha
