Using a remote control with winamp 5

I recently bought a TV tuner for my PC, specifically the Compro VideoMate TV Gold Plus that comes with a IR remote control. I was wondering if there is any possible way to configure this remote to do simple winamp tasks like play, pause, stop, next, previous etc. Any help would be appreciated.

Try the RM-X plug-in. If that is not to your liking try the following plug-in searches with IR or Remote as keywords.

I tried a number of those programs and they don't seem to work. I think the problem lies in that they were made for ATI remotes and/or remotes whose IR eye is connected through a COM port or USB which mine isn't (it's just a mini-jack type plug to the back of the PCI tuner)

Have you tried contacting Compro? Maybe they have a plug-in or program to allow their remotes to be used with Winamp or other media players.
