my girlfriend made this video for "the used - the taste of ink" for her A2 Media project for college.

just posting to see what people think :-)

this was directed, filmed, edited and produced by her and stared 4 of her friends, and a cameo from myself :-).

it's pretty good, well done for something amateurly made. my mate does film at uni, his stuff is quite similarly filmed.

the only problem was that the guy singing the choruses was quite obviously not very into the idea of singing. it kinda killed the emotion, for me.

What player or codec is needed for the NSV file?

Mplayer 9 tried but very distorted and choppy.

The guy who's playing the singer needs to act like he's really singing. Other than that, I really liked it! Tell her I said "well done!"

Fish Lens is the devil. Other than that, despite the mediocre acting, good concept. Also, tell the singer to learn a move other than the "grab my belly and jack the dick in front of me off." That just looks queer.

Sorry, but that was the most ghastly thing I have ever witnessed. Tell her to get some actors. She can film well, but those people actually in the video suck.

if you noticed, the fish lens was to try and show that it was a dream sequance. and, THESE ARE FUCKING COLLEGE STUDENTS NOT FUCKING BRUCE WILLIS AND JULIA ROBBERTS.. i asked for comments about the video, not the acting skills of 17/18 year old college students.
also, its easy to say "ohh, these people suck", but, you try and stand infront of a camera, its not as easy as you think.

Actually, I thought the camera work was good, better than mine when I did film.
