My winamp crash every time I close it

Hi
My winamp shows, every time that I close it two windows error messages.
Something like "the instruction 0x0112165e referenced memory at (...) The memory could not be read. And when I close that, another error message popup, but the numbers are all zeros (0x00000..)

Well this look like a windows or hardware problem, but it crash only and only when I close winamp.

Very strange to me. My Winamp version is 5.03a (pro) and my OS windows 2003 server (enterprise)

plz help me, i've already removed-reinstaled and nothing happens

sorry about the very bad english :)

Installed any extra 3rd-party plugins maybe?
If so, which ones?

I think I had the same problem. Mine was because I hid the Winamp.exe So the obvious thing I did was unhide it and it worked fine.

gen_mf? What was it? General_MotherFucker? ;) :D

j/k

Yeah, knew it was a dodgy 3rd-party plugin to blame.
Glad to hear you found it and solved the problem. :)

I have the same problem....so can i just delete all plugins that are not from Nullsoft ??

Rovastar 25th May 2004 14:05

We can only help here on problems that effect the vanilla installation of Winamp really. Although we try and help out more if you install 3rd party plugins it is at your own risk.

DJ Egg 25th May 2004 14:23

If for some reason you don't know which 3rd-party plugins you've installed,
maybe post a list of all files in the Winamp\Plugins folder...
