no video only sound
 

hi all

I have read the threads in the forum about no video... but i have not found a solution.

I have make the tutorial at http://users.skynet.be/andystrappazz...principal.html

The config files are correct.
I can start the server... peoples connect/disconnect to me.
But there come only sound and no video.

I think this is a codec problem.
I make the NSV files with NSVate.
I use vp3 3.1 (proper)
bitrate = 100
keyframe bitrate = 30

audio :
mp3 lame
mode = cbr mono
bitrate = 32

Any suggetions how i can see the movie in winamp ?
If i look the movie local then is the same problem .. audio yes .. video no

Are you on Winamp 5? Try getting the latest version.

Try reinstalling nsv tools and nsv gui or myb setting keyframe rate to a higher value (reinstalling is prolly the best due to you might have changed some setting and didn't change it back). If those options dont work, reinstall codev VP3? =/ Hope this helps

I have found the solution.
I have install all nsv tools, codec at my server.
Now i admin my server with remote with my laptop.
I encode the files at my server ... and there is no winamp installed .. it's a server ;)

Now i install the nsvTools and codec at my laptop and convert the avi to nsv there ;) ...
Now the NVS files will run :D

I have not read that i must the files encode, where winamp is.

For all others with the same problem.

Encode your movies where the winamp is installed.

I have a question for ya - How do u make nsv display the name of the file u r streaming on the clients and shout cast srrver? Using header.txt? Isn't the heading config. in nsv gui do that for u? Thxs

I start the streaming with a batch. There is a option /Titles ...
Sample :

code:
nsvscsrc /sc /Titles 80.33.33.33:8000:password:header.txt c:\stream

I use the nsvscsrcGUI.exe for a test ... is cool to make a diffrent list, what is playing.
But i have problem with nsvscsrcGUI ... everytime my list was empty if a stream is finish :(

The next try is to display some text at the video.
