Text colors in song title area

I'm trying my first winamp skin (classic skin for wa5) and im having some troubles with the colors in the song title area in the main window. What file defines the text color and bg color for that area? As of now, the song title area designed in main.bmp gets overrun by another bg color and the text, which doesn't look good. The same goes for the kbps and hz-areas too.

Iv'e tried looking at other skins and their setups, but i cant't really find where to define it.

Thanks.

It's normally controled by a specific bitmap font, known as text.bmp.

Skinner atlas reference here.

However, by default in wa5, it switches off use of the skinned font, in favour of a default one from the local machine, to help with internationalisation, to switch it back on again, do..
CTRL+P > Preferences > Classic Skins > Check the "use skinned font for main window title display"

I'm not 100% sure where it gets it's colours from when it dosn't use the skinned font, my guess would be it's picking twp pixel areas from text.bmp and using that for the foreground/background colours.

Classic skins also look plug ugly when not using the skinned bitmap font.

They sure do. I can't believe they've made that the default! :(

I've ben making most of my recent skins with the non-bitmap font in mind. On some of them, I even prefer it. Still, I agree that it can be very ugly when unwanted.

I like the idea of a bigger font in the songname area, but the non-skinned font is often just so pixelated, and the thick, single-colour background really restricts you as well.

And as for the international characters, that doesn't even seem to work properly. At least, not on my computer - When I load songs into winamp with Polish characters, winamp just replaces them with the nearest English equivalents. :/

Don't you have to download some kind of "language pack"? Not that I understand what that means.

I thought a language pack just changes the menu language... I doubt it would help..
