How do you work out the bitrate of a file?
Is there a formula for working out the bitrate of a file? And does NSV encyption increase the bitrate.
Thanks in advance. |
The bitrate of a file is determined by the bitrate you record the file in.
NSV is not a method of "encryption", it is a media container format. |
hahahahaahah encryption, good one.
even if you wanted to say nsv encoding you'd still be wrong, as it's a container, it could be vp3.1, vp6.1, vp6.2, divx, or xvid, or even other codecs, and codecs change how a file is encoded And again, as sankt said, bitrate is determined by you. QUALITY however depends both on the codec and the bitrate. VP3.1 at 300kbps and VP6.1 at 100kbps seem to be about the same quality (this doesnt include audio in these sizes). |
NSV has 7 or 24 bytes per frame overhead (==small number)

Ah yeah, forgot to mention:
Alt + 3 when viewing it, check the box for the table of contents (for seeking) because its good, and click analyze. It'll give you the average bitrate of the overall file. |
