terminating the server

How exactly do I stop the SHOUTcast server?

I am running it on a UNIX server, and used SSH to start the server. But now I need to shut it off. How do I do that? I read the readme, where it tells how...but it doesn't really make sense to me. I have very little knowledge of UNIX servers, so if you can tell me exactly what I would have to type at the prompt to kill the server would be GREATLY appreciated.

Thanks.

# ps -ef|grep sc_serv

will give you the PID of sc_serv... then

# kill [PID]
