Musical Orgasm

Musical Orgasm

There are a lot of 'shiver' moments in songs that I love. What I mean is, the music hits some kind of crecendo or little part where all the pieces come together so perfectly that is sends a shiver across my shoulders, or sometimes, a tear to my eye. I absolutely LOVE these. A musical orgasm, if you will.

I'll list some of my shiver moments if you'll share yours! And please, don't feel like you have to submit anywhere near as many as I have :-) Perhaps, just as you come across them while listening to your music, you could do us all the favor of posting them here!

Wow... I guess there are very few people that experience musical orgasms...

Come on people, you have to get in touch with your musical sexuality or else you'll never truly enjoy music, and be a disappointment to all your partners!

Damn I love Beth Gibbons

Tool - Lateralus:

"With my feet upon the ground I lose myself
between the sounds and open wide to suck it in,
I feel it move across my skin." ...and so on...

taylormemer 25th May 2004 11:01

I too, love that part in Lateralus.

Raz 25th May 2004 14:53

The soft sort of flying type keyboard sounds in comfortably numb.

Also, that moment when all the building up just stops and the quiet piano starts up, between waiting for the worms and stop right at the end of the wall.

The chorus - Hoobastank - The Reason; I love the way the strings add such a dynamic approach that fits musically with the lyrics as well... :D

Heavy metal intensity - Damageplan - Breathing New Life; Few bands can touch the metal crunch that's made Dimebag Darrel's trademark playing...

"Have you seen junior's grades?" - Van Halen - And The Cradle Will Rock

Time position 3:43 - Metallica - Ride The Lightning; Just the switch that the band plays when they're in the riff and Kirk's in his solo; It all just goes insane after that... :D

The moaning - Guns N' Roses - Rocket Queen; If you question the moan of a woman on any song, you're fucked up... :p
