Exactly 3:30 into Queen - Breakthrough
|
"It would be of small avail to talk of magic in the air," (where lead vocalist gradually lowers his voice about 3 octaves without ever breaking off)I'll say fairwell
"O, Rock of ages, do not crumble, love is breathing still O, Lady moon shine down, a little people magic if you will" - Queen - Brighton Rock - 1:11 Beautiful vocal effect there, also occurs at 0:45 |
Hey You Guy's,
I guessed since the song of fleetwood mac dissapeared into the recycle bin i post it here (that was a week ago, i got an email from siebe83;Useless Counter(Forum King)From: Amsterdam that I should post it here instead of the recylce bin, so here it is) Maybe some things were lost that should not have been forgotten! Could you please give me "my" Fleetwood Mac back? I'm having a dreadfull heartake for not nowing the songs number, but i do know it's was a fokking major experience It's the song where he play's with the crowd and later on he bangs his guitar not realy playing anything do putting up one hell of a performance. I hope you know what i'm talking about (most don't hihihi) Other favorites and pleasure songs i like (to put some spirit in the recycle bin, and here also nowaday's) jackson brown: in the shape of a heart, take it easy: my god i wished he would brought that out on record, 2.2 minutes is far too short) elton john: i'm still standing eric clapton: layla (amazing sound experience as well played so) And the all so famous Lynyrd Skynyrd with his dynamic shout out loud and driving you crazy - free bird!!! (had some problemens with the police ) Another note do: Eric clapton in concert for george harrisson - give me love !!!! For all that's put into the christmass spirit this is the one song we should praise en care about!!!! Reminder of contribuance: Winamp should be praised en awarded till death do us part for their efforts and joy they bring to their fan's!!! You can say, music is my first love but without techniques and people who'm dedicate their lives too bring joy to the world where would society be? Yours cencairly, The_Dude_1978 (the dreamer, highflyer, and romanticus) p.s. some were dutch-englisch-mixed-up-believes-of interpretation-languages gehehe |

I'm so happy posts are still being made here. Now I gotta find 'Break through the clouds'...

nono, that's my little description title of the spot. The song is called "in time" :). (that's why I put it in quotes. I probably should be more clear...)

"You can arm me to the teeth - you can't make me go to war!" - Family Happiness by The Mountain Goats
Depeche Mode - Condemnation - whole song guitar solo - Change of Season by Matthew Good Band High and Dry by Radiohead is sort of a prolonged orgasm that doesn't give an immediate, surging sensation, there's a continuous euphoria throughout the song's duration. |
Oooh, I think I'll have to check out that Mountain Goats song.
|
Pearl Jam - Better Man
The whole music. The rhythm, the lyrics. It's my favorite music of all times. I'm not that Pearl Jam fan, but I'm fan of this music. "She loved him OHhhh" /edit Plz !! someone change it from "Major Dude" for "Better Man" ... PLZ ! |
Muse - Bliss - the intro is just incredible
Radiohead - 2+2=5 - Have to agree with you, when he starts screaming 'paying attention' it just goes off Grinspoon - Signpost 0:10 - When the guitars kick in Motorace - Freefall 1:08 - Undertake Jebediah - Please Leave 2:38 The Cure - Inbetween Days 0:15 wicked guitar beat Smashing Pumpkins - For Martha 3:11 - If you have to go dont say goodbye These were just a few, but probably my favourites |
White Unicorn - Wolmother.....When there is no lyrics
|
Happens all the time, but my memory sucks and I can't ever remember which songs or what time in the song will do it. So it's always a surprise :D
|
i'm currently hooked on metallica's rendition of "whiskey in the jar" very good, and easy to sing to
|
"Piano Solo", Rob D, Clubbed To Death (From Matrix OS)
"...your skin has turned to white...", Cat Stevens, My Lady Darbarnville "The Whole Song" Billy Joel, The Piano Man "Corus" Gary Jules, Mad World (donnie darko OS) "...and in the naked light I saw..." Simon + Garfunkel, sound of silence. "...and its true we are immune..." U2, Sunday bloody sunday |
Orbital - the needle-sliding-across-the-record sound at the end of Planet of the Shapes followed by the beginning of Lush3-1
|
Iced Earth - A Question of Heaven
Near the end when it slows down and turns into a ballad usually sends a shiver up my spine. |
"The ultimate": The Walkmen - The Rat (the entire bleedin intro, just listen to it9.
"The best of Irish-style rock": Flogging Molly - Queen Anne's Revenge (the chorus, the intro...) "Blown away" Kaiser Chiefs - Everyday I Love You Less And Less (2:48-3:00) Kaiser Chiefs - Oh My God (the chorus) Overseer - Supermoves (Animatrix Edit) (the entire song IMO, but, 2:13 - 4:00 will have to do) Queens Of The Stone Age - Someone's In The Wolf (6:26) The White Stripes - Red Rain (2:15) More when I come home. |
"echo & back to basics" - Björk - Hunter (2:00)
"return of vocal" - Muse - Blackout (3:12) "Everything's temporary, anyway..." - Edie Brickell & New Bohemians - Circle (1:44) (I love that lyric) "the beat's there, finally!" - Orbital - You Lot (3:32) "sound gets deeper and deeper and comes to a halt" - Ladytron - Skools Out (around 1:40) "Now...!" - Radiohead - Exit Music (For a Film) (3:21) "makes you hum along" - The Doors - The Crystal Ship (1:20) |

some songs that do it for me
Two songs i can think of off hand are "the Seven Sisters" by Rainer Maria
and most of the songs of Radiohead's OK Computer, particularly "Subterranian homesick blues" "exit music (for a film) and "Karma Police". |
Bathysphere - Augusta
The entire song's a musical orgasm; Unfortunately, I can't find it on any online music stores or p2p programs. Sad :'(. I may have to order the obscure album it shows up on from some obscure underground website. *sigh* |
Shpongle - Around the World in a Tea Daze
Time codes of orgasms in this song: from 1:24 When the first melody begins to 3:30 when the percussion begins is a slow orgasm of beauty and melody 3:58 when the flute lays it down for you 5:40 when the strings bring you up and the vocals bring you back down into the arms of the piano keys 6:30 the strings take you down until 6:45 when the vocals blow you away, gently and then a break down and build up that takes you up and up, add in the strings to take you further until 9:00 when the chills are blowing down your spine now at about 9:42 take the first movements/themes/orgasms in the song and mix them back in with everything that is going on now, make it all work together in a way that defies logic. Build it all up on top of each other until 11:10 where it ends and if you're listening really close it's a good thing because by this point you weren't breathing anymore. fantastic song you also will probably want to listen to Flute Fruit which is the track after that one just to bring you down properly. |
(The Boomtown Rats) Bob Geldof - I Don't Like Mondays
*I have only heard one version of this song, from the Bon Jovi album One Wild Night, Bob Geldof sang Bon Jovi's band played (I assume Jon took a break) - live recording from June 25th '95 Guns N' Roses - Don't cry L J |
Trivium - To The Rats
The breakdown, when Corey screams "This is to the rats" over a galloping open-D... Metal :D |
- "Orgasmic Tone Change" Dream Theater - Lie (6:16. Petrucci's doing a run up, and the tone changes from his usual shredding sound to a "flight-like" tone. It's awesum!)
- "Awesum riff" Opeth - Blackwater Park (?? I dont know the time but it is the best riff I have heard. Its around 8 minutes I think) |
Great thread! Yet I can't help feeling you're very easily pleased. How the hell did Whitney Houston get in there??
I'm gonna try to listen to as many of these as I have on my HD and see if I "get there". Here are some of mine, I might try to post more if and when I think of them. Van Halen - Eruption - 0:56 Van Halen - Spanish Fly - 0:34 Extreme - Flight of the Wounded Bumblebee - 1:15 Gouryella - Tenshi (dunno the version but it's 7:41 long) - 2:17 Gouryella - Gouryella (Radio edit) - 0:30 & 2:29 "almost sounds like Barry White should be doing a sultry voiceover" - Gouryella - Walhalla - 2:06 System F - Out of the Blue - 2:03 Angelo Badalamenti - Laura Palmer's Theme - a beautiful piece of music throughout but 1:28 (repeated at 3:05) really gives me shivers. Weezer - Only in Dreams - 5:20 onwards (earphones on, eyes closed...) Y-Traxx - Mystery Land (original mix) - 0:13 "Underwater Piano" - Solar Stone - Seven Cities (Atlantis Mix) - 2:56 |
yeah, this thread deserves a bump
The purest sound of an electric guitar: Trans-Siberian Orchestra - Beethoven's Last Night - 18 Beethoven 0:37 - the end ^try to find a copy somewhere, you'll be surprised :) The guy's voice rocks: Riverside - Riverside (promo) - 04 - Loosing Heart - 3:54 - the end (not the live version from 'Voices in my head'!) Raw drum power Living Sacrifice - In Memoriam - 04 - Symbiotic 2:37 (3:13) - 3:38 Most promising intro ever: John Williams - The Phantom Menace OST - Duel Of The Fates Amy's voice at it's best Evanescence - Evanescence EP (only the version from this 'album'!) - 01 - Where will you go - 2:24 - 3:30 Spine tingling solo Dream Theater - When Dream And Day Unite - Afterlife - 4:22 - 4:52 Perfectly put at nearly the end of the album: Dream Theater - Falling into Infinity - 11 - Anna Lee (the entire song is perfect after you've listened to the rest of the album.) Just try to keep your head still with this part :) (turn up the volume to really feel the music) Cosmic Gate - No More Sleep - 10 - Just A Tone 4:07 - ~4:30 |
Dark Tranquility - The Lesser Faith
The hair on my balls tingle during the chorus; Something about that particular keyboard riff, especially in a melodic death metal song, just really gets me... Damageplan - Cold Blooded I like this entire song (Especially when I'm having my Private Pyle moments), but 2:51 is where it gets good when the song goes into the bridge, 3:24 when Dimebag abuses the whammy pedal, and 3:40 when Dimebag goes into that...Solo Shadows Fall - The Light That Blinds It starts off with that classical acoustic "medieval art thou" that sounds a lot like something that comes from Metallica before it busts into lightning-fast arppegio sweeps, and then the double bass kicks in and it goes thrash...But that's not why I like the song; It's the breakdown at 3:56 that I wait for... The Haunted - The Program/The Guilt Trip These are actually two separate tracks, with "The Program" completly instrumental and "The Guilt Trip" half-instrumental, but it's best when you listen to them both as one..."The Program" starts off with a repeating line of guitar riffs that are slow and dark, but it kicks off to a slightly higher temp at 3:33 and gets demonic at 3:50 with the double bass...It stays that way until it transitions into "The Guilt Trip", where the double bass cuts off at 0:15, but the guitar riff that takes up there is one of those heavy "rip your face off" guitar riffs...Then at 1:08, Peter Dolving finally screams in the first vocals of a mostly-instrumental song up until that point...Once you think it's all over when it gets quiet at 3:45, at 3:52, it all comes back instantaneously, scares the shit out of you, and lets you know the world's coming to an end... It's...a metal masterpiece, which almost brings blood to my eyes... |
