Lock winamp at top or bottom

I'll try to explain this the best I can. See the attachment below for reference.

So how it coveres the folder buttons? Look at the very bottom and you will see right below the IE window and above the taskbar I have a program called Statbar that is running.See how it locks its self to the bottom and pushes all the windows above it?

That is what I would love winamp to do. I use winamp constally... leave it running. But its annoying having to close windows to get to the winamp controls. I would rather have the windows open and pushed under the winamp bar at top like the statbar does at the bottom.

I know that you can put winamp always on top but hwen you do this it covers the buttons like in the picture below. I want everything to be pushed under.

I think I got what I wanted to say across. If not let me know and I will try to re explain it.

In Winshade mode for the modern skin:

Main Menu (right click anywhere where there isn't something) > Window Settings > Docked Toolbar

Select Top or Bottom and Disable Auto-Hide

another option is like with windows media player 9, where you can have a tool bar on the taskbar, where you have all the button you need... it's quite handy, but yeah your idea is good. i like it.

wow I never saw that. Thank you for pointing that out to me!!

how do i get the docked toolbar option in the menu, it's just greyed out in mine... :( is it 'cause i'm running win2k? or is there someother option i'm missing?

you have to put it into the smaller mode (dunno what its called), i.e. the middle of the three little buttons at the top right, then you should be able to do it :)

As for my wish, is to have the playlist and winamp side by side, instead of two great big long bars. Theres plenty of room for both at a decent resoltion...

also theyre still a bit buggy when moving to different spots and changing between small and normal mode.. I can live with that though.

ahhhhh.... awwwww..... oooooo.... yah, i knew that :P i just doubled clicked at the top to get there, but it didn't do the same thing, just made it small up there, no options though...

okaay... just tried that then, and it worked... mustn'a done it right...:confused:oh well

cool thanks

Holy Crap!

How did I miss the docked toolbar option for so long?

I usually pride myself in finding most options by poking around in the menu, but this one escaped me.

Good thing too, I was simply using an extra toolbar (address toolbar), and placing winamp on top. Fugly.

Thanks for pointing it out drewbar!
