Phillips HDD060 Mini Digital Jukebox support

I hope winamp will write a plugin for this device becuse the software it currently uses is written in Java and it sucks a really poor job from Phillips .On the db Poweramp forums people are screaming for some sort of software to be written and seeing winamp is supporting removable devices this one would be a good candidate .It uses a SQlite database to catagorise the files and the ID3 Tags are viewable in SQlite explorer .Also Phillips does not offer any ripping suport so users of this device would be willing to to buy Winamp Pro.The Device can only play MP3 and WMA files at this time so not to infringe on PHillips DRM this could still be done via the plugin .

There is a program for the HDD100 that can upload from the device to any PC
http://dawuss.student.utwente.nl/~public1/

ALso heres the diccusion on the dbPoweramp forums about this device
http://forum.dbpoweramp.com/newreply...wreply&p=19532

I would have a iPOD if my wife didnt pick this up from her work for $100

Hi, I bought a HDD060 today. As people already mentioned, the so called DMM program is really horrible. I had a quick look at what this ugly programming actually puts on the device's harddisk. Yes, the database can be explored using SQlite explorer. Plus the MP3 don't seem to be modified, except for the filenames.

I'm interested to do something for a plugin in Winamp.

Loek.

Loek Im sure your plugin would be apreciated maybe Cristoph or even Justin who is still doing some contract work for winamp could help you as they seemed to get the ml_ipod
plugin past the lawyers .

The reason why there is ml_ipod is because the ipod mounts as a physical drive.

As this player uses a propretory software, the only way would be to contact the manufacturer.

Well, I happen to work for Philips ;-)

When attached to the PC the HDD060 also mounts as an external drive. The directory where the MP3s go is
hidden, but can be accessed. There's a SQLite C-library. Together with the Winamp SDK it should be possible to make
something.

My only problem is how make such a Winamp plugin. Guess
I have to start digging into the SDK.

loekf the ipod plugin also refers to the ipod data base so look at the source code there may be a few hints there .

Project Home Page
http://mlipod.sourceforge.net/
http://cvs.sourceforge.net/viewcvs.p..._ipod/#dirlist

the gUSB plugin also detects this device as a harddrive so it mounts in winamp and windows explorer and you can transfer files on and off the drive and play them in winamp no problems .

The creative zen Plugin might also help as it doesnt mount as a drive in windows and needs its own drivers again its been done and turned into a sourceforge project.

http://forums.winamp.com/showthread....hreadid=176611
http://winampzenplugin.sourceforge.net/
http://sourceforge.net/projects/winampzenplugin/

So theres a bit of source code you may be able to mess around with loekf

If development is going to start on this project maybe we need to move over to the Dev forum.
