RAndomaly Stops PLaying
 

Winamp just randomly stops playing for some reason. But windows media player will play still. I have uninstalled and reinstalled like a 100 times. Driving me nuts...

HMMM. Now when I play CounterStrike it will randomly kill all my sound except for the game sound...

YA I think it is CounterStrike :( Any suggestions?

Maybe try changing your output plug-in to 'DirectSound Output' (right-click main window -> Preferences > Options... -> Plug-ins -> Output -> select 'DirectSound Output).
But I'm not sure about that... Maybe you can set options for audio in CS as well?

OK. Its not CS. I was just browsing the internet and it just stops. for no apparent reason. And the plug in is already set..

Try updating the sound drivers for your soundcard.

Also have a look at the Common Issues section of the Troubleshooters Sticky. Particular subjects to look at "Winamp 5.03 Update Patch", "No sound, skippy/choppy/..." and maybe "Plays mp3's for a few seconds, then stops"
