Anyone got one yet? How do you rate them?

I was looking at it, and it seems like quite a good buy - I could easily back up all my mp3s to a couple of them... but I was worried about durability (since the casing of the discs basically contains a hard disk platter, with the spindle and drive heads in the drive itself).

Looks interesting, but I haven't seen on in person, yet. I just saw it on their website. I don't know if I'd get something like that, personally.

I think I'll wait until the firewire version comes out, and then look at some reliability stats. The thing is, the sort of capacity is exactly what I'm looking for (not only for long term storage of mp3s, but also for transporting large access databases between home and work....

However, the phrase "extracted the spindle and drive heads and put them in the base unit, while the platters are carried in the shock resistant shell" does concern me slightly, in so far as durability is concerned. :D
