It's just road debris

Ugh...I hate it when people slam on their brakes when there's road debris...There were these parts of blown-out tires on the highway today, and me and my mom were behind some people that slammed on their brakes for no reason other than there were little pieces of rubber on the road...It wasn't like a full giant tire in the middle of the lane either...Your car will not explode if you drive over a piece of a rubber tire, especially one completly out of your way...

OH! I just remembered myself of a few years ago when my dad took his '99 Jeep Wrangler out to trailor a Christmass tree (About 10ft tall) to my grandmom's house to burn it...I was in the back seat with one of my cousins, keeping a watch on the tree to make sure it doesn't fly away or anything...Soon enough a few seconds once we got on I-65 up to speed, the tree started to lift up off the trailor, and before my dad was able to do anything, it flipped over and off onto the road...There were two old people behind us in some sort of mid-90's Cadillac Eldorado or Lincoln Town Car that didn't even bother to swerve out of the way of the tree...They just missed the stump of the tree, but they just ran over one side of the tree on it's leaves...We didn't bother going back for the tree, and just left it in the median where it eventually made it's way to (Probably after someone went out of their way to drag it off the road)... :D

I brake for DTs (Leprechauns, pink elephants, flocks of low flying monkeys, etc.). Beware if you drive behind me!:D

Mas Tequila!

Mas Tequila!

Should we expect flying tequila bottles?

CaboWaboAddict 25th June 2004 03:35

Hey, I don't have room for empties. If you're behind me, be ready to duck!

Mas tequila!

There's something ironic in a driver being worried about hurting their tires by driving over hurt tires.
That being said, braking is for those who have compassion. Pansies.

What I love are the jackasses that swerve to miss something and then run right over the top of it anyway. It's usually a woman driver and whatever the debris happens to be is usually laying directly in the middle of the lane. So in a pathetic attempt to avoid hitting the debris the swerve and run their tires right over it.

Running over anything even if it's a paperbag, there could be a risk of a nail embedded in the object. Same thing goes for dead animals, construction debris, roofing, etc. I would'nt want to run over that stuff anyway

ElChevelle 25th June 2004 11:53

The only safe thing to run over is people.

Ahh shit, THAT is the question I missed on my CDL test:(

I would've originally talked about this piece of cardboard was blown across this 4-lane road, and how people in each lane avoided hitting it as it passed through their lane, labeling the title "The cardboard overpowers you (Part duex)"...

...but then I'd confuse and dissapoint you guys again like the first time around, so I desided to make no mention at all... :D

it`s like here one time,
a branch fell off a tree onto the road and everybody was going round it,

so being a country road i stopped my car with hazards goin an all and i moved the branch to the side ,
stoppped all traffic from moving while i cleared the road,
i got a lot of thank you`s

why could`nt someone else have done that?

ElChevelle 26th June 2004 18:31
