maybe this will be possible with the new enqueue features in 5.04
(there WILL be new enqueue features in 5.04, but i'm not sure this will be one of them, try searching this thread: http://forums.winamp.com/showthread.php?threadid=152906 ) try to be patient ;) |
hy siebe83, i hear ya when you say "try to be patient " actually of all the stupid things i clicked reply, realized it but was lazy/hurry,
thank you for the link you gave . it was helpfull because i did learn somethings regarding playlists which will be handy to know. but it didnt cover what i am discussing here in this post. i think another way to describe what i need is : a file i can enqueue in winamp but the file isnt music jsut a URL like http://powershout.com:7950/ or http://212.62.250.14:7950/ this file would then also have a time value of say 1 hour so after 1 hour of playing the station the next file in the list is played. this is jsut a idea of how it could work. i have no ideaa if or how it could be done. if any ideas come to mind give a Shout pleaase thank you again siebe83:) |
I think there are plug ins that schedule playlists for broadcast use. Not really what it is designed to do, but by putting individual URLs into a series of playlists you may be able to achieve what you want.
Take a look in plugins under schedulers, programmers or some such. Here's one - 'Playlist Switcher' http://www.winamp.com/plugins/details.php?id=127954 No idea if it's any good mind. UJ |
ok the previous sudgestions had thier good points , However they just are not what im hoping to accomplish :(
heres a little more info i have a Playlist file (.pls) it contains the following information: [playlist] NumberOfEntries=1 File1=http://www.misskittin.com:8000/content/SUMMERMIXelectro.mp3 i have dBpowerAMP installed so i can edit tags on a file. when i edit the tags on this file , or any .pls file i see the spot to have it show the length , however it says "00:00" and can not be edited. i assume thats cause there is not entry in the .pls file its self (as i said all it shows when opened in Notepad is what i showed above) does anyone know if there is a way to add a time limit or Length value to a .pls file? ... ie..... [playlist] NumberOfEntries=1 File1=http://www.misskittin.com:8000/content/SUMMERMIXelectro.mp3 file1 length=60:00 ^^^^^ is this possible and if so How would i write this correctly ? thanks for all your input |
