another playlist question
is there anyway to lock the playlist. the problem is sometimes i wanna play a file in winamp just once but it automatically gets included on the playlist and deletes all the other songs/videos i had on their. i also use on the dl plugin to keep it updated, would that be a conflict?

Try this:
Prefs > File Types > check 'Enqueue files on double click in Windows Explorer' That way, the playlist won't erased when playing file from Explorer: the file will be added to the playlist. A file cannot be played in Winamp without being in the playlist. |
thanks for the reply, but im a little confused i checked the box but i downloaded a song double clicked on it and it erased the entire playlist for the file i downloaded, maybe their is another setting i have on, any help?

Be sure 'restore file associations at Winamp start-up' is checked as well (and off course, MP3 should be selected).
After that, restart Winamp. Maybe also uncheck 'Allow multiple instances', to force Winamp to enqueue the file in the current Winamp instance. (Or, CHECK it, so you can play the file you downloaded in a NEW Winamp. In that case, I think you have to uncheck that enqueue option. But be aware: the playlist of the latest closed Winamp will be stored) Where did you double-click that file? In Windows Explorer? But maybe you're right and it's conflicting witht that plugin... |
