plugin pack??
Is there now (or will there be) a fairly
comprehensive plugin pack for Winamp? I have the latest version of winamp and if i drag and drop a .wav file into Winamp it will play but if i put it into a playlist then it will error off with need mp3 acm codec. Some times i have to change the mp3 to WMA for it to play.... Granted, i'm not the sharpest tack when it comes to codexs...... BTW: I have the Frauhoffer IIs codex installed. thanks, savagcl |
File extensions determine what decoder winamp uses to play the file. If a file has a mp3 extension, winamp will use its mp3 decoder. Now, if the file is actually a wma file disguised with a mp3 extension, winamp has no way to know it, the fix is just to rename the file into the correct extension so the appropriate decoder handles it.
The same applies to your faulty wav, rename them into *.mp3 so the mp3 decoder handles it. |
Thanks, Twilightseer, i figured that out
finally. savagcl |
