Ripping my Computer Music Library to MP3
I'll apologize for the lame question up front. I want to convert my current music library to MP3's to allow me to put them on CD-R's and play them on my CD/MP3 disc player. I've just purchased the WinAmp 5.04 and installed. It will allow me to rip from a CD to a CD-R, but I'll be damned if I can figure out how to get the files already saved on my hard drive converted. I've searched the FAQ's and looked on the forums here. What am I missing? Thanks for any help!

options>preferences>plugins>output> configure nullsoft disk write.
set where you would like the files ot go, check "covnert to format" click (...) to change what format you want....MPEG LAyer-3....now for attributes, choose the quality...mine goes up to 320...if yours cant you need a codec...some other discussion here click ok and ur done. load the music you want to convert into the playlist and play. (it is EXTREMELY slow so be careful) whenever you are ready to listen to music again, make sure in the output plugins that directsound AND NOT diskwrite is highlighted. |
