100% CPU Usage When Changing Tracks

I recently re-installed my entire machine, including Winamp 5.04.

Everytime Winamp changes the track, my CPU skyrockets to 100% and it takes 10-20 seconds to change the track. This only happens when Winamp automatically changes the track. If I click the next button, it switches without problem.

Here's my specs
Athlon 2000+ XP
1GB RAM
320GB HDD
SB Audigy
ATI AIW Radeon 7500
Winamp 5.04 (Clean Install)
Playlist has more than 16,000 MP3s

I've read sooo many threads about high CPU usage on the Winamp board, and have tried many of the solutions offered, but none seem to work for automatic track changing.

Here's what I've done:
In DirectSound output v2.2.10:
- Changed Primary Sound Driver to SB Audigy Audio
- Checked Allow hardware acceleration
- Set Buffer Length to 2000ms
- Set Prebuffer to 500ms
- Set Buffer-ahead to 100ms
- Checked Enable CPU usage control
- Disabled all Fading
- Unchecked Remove silence at beginning/end
- Unchecked Enable volume control and Smooth volume changes

In Modern Skins:
- Changed Timers Resolution to 100ms

Removed all Visualization plugins

I don't know what else to do. It's driving me crazy!

PLEASE HELP!

Strange. Any other 3rd-party plugins installed?

Attached is a pic of all the General Plugins listed in Winamp.

most of them serve a particular function, and do not have anything to do with changing tracks.

Also, "Pender" is not enabled.

Well... one of them is definitely to blame.

Why have you got two Quick Title plugins installed?
Wouldn't it be wise to disable/remove the old 1.3 version, and just keep the newer v2.0 active?

Other plugins which could be to blame:
gen_nowplaying | gen_lyrics | Auto (Un)Pause... (what the hell is that, btw?)

Try closing winamp and disabling all of those 3rd-party plugins (move relevant DLL from the Plugins folder, or rename it to eg. gen_lyrics.off).
Reopen Winamp.
If the problem no longer occurs,
close Winamp again and re-enable one of the plugins.
Repeat this until the problem reoccurs.
The last plugin you restored is your culprit.

Note: You should also upgrade DrO's TimeRestore plugin to v1.72 and JTFE to the latest v0.96bee build (not sure if one of these are to blame for the problem either).

I updated JTFE and Time Restore, and removed Pender, one of the quick titles and the un(pause) and it seems to be working well again!

YEEEEEAAAAHHH!

Thanks DJ Egg

BTW,
gen_nowplaying is a great plugin that shows ID3 tag info in the media library

gen_lyrics is a button is the system tray that allows you to search for lyrics in your browser

Auto (Un)Pause is a plugin that automatically pauses winamp when you lock your NT/2000/XP Machine and unpauses when you unlock it.
