I clicked on this thread hoping it would be a request to help find the name of an obscure song or performer. Alas and alack...

So long as you know the name of the performer & the name of the song it should be fairly easy to find, right?

Even if I had the song though I wouldn't link to it here, because that's against the forum rules. But a commercial performer with a lot of advertising funds should be easy to find.

i'm looking for a song i heard on a country radio station and the song was a father leaving advice for his son.

how's that one for you carnobot?

Carno 14th August 2004 13:05

Haha, it depends on if it's a recent song. My county music trivia knowledge cuts off around 1950. I just like the old-time carny stuff. What kind of advice was the father giving the son?

GqSkrub 14th August 2004 13:37

stuff like treat women well and do what you need to do.... i think for some reason the father couldn't be there.... soldier? cna't remember. just throwing it out there... i think it might be something fairly recent. i've just started liking country music.

I dunno. I ought to know. I live in the city where they manufacture country music. It sounds very very familiar though, but there are lots of advice songs. The first one I think of isn't a country song, "Father and Son" by Cat Stephens, the basis for that song "Fight Test" by Flaming Lips.

I have it in 192kbit MP3 format. The file size is 5.16MB. If you need a smaller size for email transfer, I'll be happy to convert it for you.

"PM" me with your email address. I'll send it to you.

I just scanned it with AVG...no virus detected.

I shouldn't have been snooty. Everybody likes different things. But some days it's hard not to get pissed off when you see a dude in a cowboy hat.
