Remove Duplicate entries in the playlist is lame
 

Its only available in the playlist menu. But where its needed most is in the ML window.

seeing as the feature is provided as a functional easter egg by gen_jumpex (jtfe) and that doesn't interface with the ml (yet) hence the feature is limited to the playlist.

the fact the feature is even in Winamp is good since it was very low on the main todo list by the Winamp devs and i thought it'd be good to add it in myself since jtfe had all of the code needed to do it quickly and without my hassle.

maybe at some stage it will be added in (either as an extension of the jtfe method) or natively or by another 3rd party developer (like myself)

You cannot get duplicate entries in the ML. If you try at add a file with the same URL it will just update the metatag info. If you have the same file in multiple directories, it is your fault for putting files all over the place. And when you rescan the folder it will just be added again.
