Windows streaming audio

Is there anyhting special that needs to be done to receive streams from the windows media encoder?

With WMP, it's just http://IP|domain:port but that doesn't work with winamp.

The "Windows Media Encoder"? What's that exactly?

Are you talking about mms:// streams?
eg. mms://ip:port/.wma

If they are wma streams, then you need to add /.wma to the end of the stream url to make winamp use the in_wm decoder instead of in_mp3
(otherwise you'll get an error message from in_mp3 saying "error syncing to mpeg")
