Voting tendencies are sinusoidal, not linear.

Bush would win either way. Right now, he (well, the team behind him) own the states. Bush could get one ballot, while Kerry got millions and Bush would win.

...Implying that a "percentage" cannot be tagged unless you polled every american...

...but I'm sure you could come up with an "idea" of what the vote would look like. It's not perfect, but they can come close.

I'm surprised the flip-flop thing is coming up so much, especially when Bush, who more or less runs as the war-on-terror president, can't make up his own mind on the war on terrorism. That is EXACTLY why during his speech, he said "when it comes to terrorism.....you all know where I stand" Rather than being more precise, because then he would say we can win, and therefore flip flop, or he could say we might not win, and therefore lose support.
