Need help please
 
Hiya, i need help everytime i start up my winamp.. i get an error message.. Winamp has caused an error in <unknown> Winamp will now close.. yet it works fine.. what could be possibly causing this? Thanks in advance to all who read this and try to help! =)

Without knowing more information, it may be a buggy third party plug-in causing the problem. Do you have any third-party plug-ins for Winamp. Did the error message recently occur after installing a plug-ins. If so, have you tried disabling or uninstalling the plug-in?

Otherwise, have you tried a clean install of Winamp?

No dice? Please post a reply with system specs.

Well still no success after trying a clean install.. It still has an error message as soon as I open it... OS Name Microsoft Windows

Could you give us any details of the error message?

The following will not be a exact quote, you may see something like...

Winamp caused an error in ?????????

It just says Winamp has caused an error in <unknown> Winamp will now close.

Sorry, I wish I knew what else to tell you. Maybe someone else will have a idea or I will get some inspiration later on. Until then at least Winamp is still working.
