Just asking for trouble...
I hope he like his humble pie served hot!!! |
Can't Meecrosost afford a QA department these days?
Hmmm. Can you get microwavable Humble Pie these days? |
I give it 2 days, I'm fealing generous.
I'm definately not upgrading now, although I never put in SP1 either. I figure they;re always after what people are running so the old holes are no longer fun to mess with.
Lol, I said old holes. |
doesnt have anything to do with it not installing on your particular install due to the key being tapped in incorrectly during install and just by chance working, but being a blacklisted key. Does it?
Nope, it's too easy to change the key anyway.
starbucks, can you post a link to where you got that from?
it's so secure that even the USERS can't access their own OS. or so i've heard.
It's so secure that everyone BUT the user can access the OS.
hur hur bashing microsoft is so coo
Honestly I think SP2 is a bunch of bullshit. The only difference I've noticed between it and SP1 is the Windows Security Center thing that annoys the shit outta me by popping up with this stupid message telling me to enable Norton whenever I disable it. I was really hoping SP2 would come with some visual enhancements instead of a bunch of seemingly useless security crap...
Yep, who cares for security when it looks good. Same thing with some men's thinking about women. Who cares about intelligence when she looks good.
But it isn't security, it's an annoyance.

Corporations are already balking saying the new WinFS feature was possibly worth the upgrade but since most haven't even upgraded past Windows 2000 Longhorn I have a feeling is going to fall flat on it's face like ME did. Linux vendors are salivating of course because they all now have time to catch up. I won't be installing SP2. I won't be installing SP1 either. My PC is protected by non MS software and I've yet to have a single problem such as worms, intrusions or spyware ever get into it - and all that software came free to boot. |

DOS was the only secure OS Microsoft ever had and IBM wrote it.

Damn, I always thought it was IBM since they had the copyright on it.
Better them exploting holes in the safety of this somewhat-controlled environment so they can fix them, rather than unleasing worms onto the world. Think of it as hiring beta testers :)
