Song Requesting Please Read
HELP!!!!!
I am running winblows XP with a cable connection. I can run the shoutcast great. Threw in my IP got winamp going etc etc etc. I would like to setup a requester so that I can adjust the song stack from here at work where I listen to the stream. I tried the wwwamp and keep getting an error when I try to connect about opening the socket. I amso tried the one from odd something or other and the setup freezes when it gets to installing the MySQL part. I have read through a lot of the entries in the forums about this topic and I am not able to find anything that can help me. I know that I am probably missing something stupid and need another point of view. If it would help I wil post my configuration file for the wwwamp and see if there is something anyone see's that may be the resolution. I have a simple site almost setup for this. I am not looking for anything complex as I will be the only one using the stream, just a way to put certain songs next depending on work, I am sure that everyone has times where metallica sounds better than enya based on the mood you are in. Any help that can be offered will be GREATLY APPRICIATED. |
If you're using windows, why call it "winblows", when obviously you're satisfied with it?
What is the exact message you're getting in wwwinamp |
[Main] Loaded config file from wwwinamp.ini
[main] intializing port 666.... [makedb] initializing database..... [makedb] 1384 files under D: [Main] Error Opening Socket [main] error opening dest socket! FATAL ERROR! I hope this will help. I will also add that I am running a blackice firewall and have set the preferences to allow the port. Thanks for all the help |
