There was a student in the UK who auctioned off his body parts. You could buy ears, his liver, eyeball.... whatever. He was running out of money so he did this. If you won, you didn' get, say, the toe you bought, but a certificate and a guarantee that you would be kept updated as to the progress, health and appearance of your body part. Ridiculous, but he made some money...
