Mixer

Ello. :)

I've got my broadcast going, and it's running fine... but I thought I'd chat some between a few of the songs - and I was wondering if I need an extra program to do this (it seems that I do), and if so - I'd love a link to an easy-to-use mixer program :)

thanks.

You can use the soundcard as input and your mic. Check out the SHOUTcast Technical Support Sticky post titled:

Scroll down a bit and look for the section titled:

yes, I read that. but it still talks about a mixer program - which is what I'm curious about.

Windows and you soundcard both have built in mixers, they will work just fine.

I'm still unsure.. if I choose 'soundcard' as my input... every little sound on my computer will be broadcasted? like my microphone, IM:s and all that?

sorry if I seem daft - but I don't want to make a fool of my self live. :D

in your soundcard "recording" properties you would probably want to select line in & mic only.

Select "stereo Mix" or "Wav" to hear everyting.

Easy as pie...
