listen to yourself -- place http://localhost:8000 into a media player.

link for others outside -- http:// your ip : port /listen.pls

to get your ip adres www.whatismyip.com or www.mijnip.nl

hmm no I get this
09/17/04@12:35:15> [yp_add] yp.shoutcast.com gave error (nak)
<09/17/04@12:35:15> [yp_add] yp.shoutcast.com gave extended error (Cannot see your station/computer (IP: 69.10.101.137:8000) from the Internet, disable Internet Sharing/NAT/firewall/ISP cache (Connection timed out))

I am using a router but have all my firewalls and everyting turned off, is it the router thats blocking it???.........and if so how would I fix it, /destroy router lol arg I feel dumb

First, the line that says: <09/17/04@11:23:04> [main] error opening client socket! FATAL ERROR! Some other process is using this port!
You probably have more than one instance of the DNAS running, using the same port. Kill the other(s).

Second, you will have to foward the correct ports in your router.

aight sweeet u guys roxors my soxors :P:P:P:P:P:P:P:P I got it running woooooooooot

NJK 17th September 2004 20:01

sorry but when i place this into my browser i can't get anything http://69.10.101.137:8000
so not all is going well yet.

could you check www.mijnip.nl or www.whatismyip.com to see if you still have the same ip number or has it changed?
if you have a different ip number now you have a "dynamic"ip which means it will change every time you reboot your system

get a static ip at either www.no-ip.com or at http://www.dyndns.org/

no that is the ip from your router. And that means we on the outside can't hear anything.
your forwarding of ports hasn't worked.

if you want to stream on the internet you need to open ports 8000 and 8001 in your router config.

feng 17th September 2004 20:08

nooooo arg lol ok thx for the info back to work I guess :)

feng 17th September 2004 20:09
